Senior WordPress
engineering for
New York.
For NYC founders, executives, speakers, authors, and boutique firms who need serious technical work without paying for a Manhattan agency's overheads. 15 years, 150+ live sites, ADA-baked-in.
“A Manhattan boutique charges $40k for what a remote senior ships for $10k. The difference isn't quality — it's Fifth Avenue rent and an account-manager layer you don't need.”
What NYC clients actually book
Founder-led company sites
Series A+ founders who want a real site that reflects the company, not a template with a founder photo. Fast, clean, editable by a non-technical marketing hire, ADA-clean.
Executive + founder personal brands
The site that's Google's first result when a board member, LP, or acquirer types your name. Wikidata entity, Person schema, structured for AI-search visibility.
NYC keynote speaker sites
For the working NYC/Boston circuit — TEDx alumni, Aspen Ideas speakers, corporate keynotes. Video-first, event-planner-fast, sub-2s LCP on 3G.
Boutique law + consulting
Serious professional-services sites with proper intake forms, matter-management integrations if needed, and ADA/CCPA compliance baked in from day one.
Book-launching authors
Author-speaker two-funnel sites launched to align with publication day. Indie bookstore purchase links, launch-team email flows, press-kit downloads.
FAQ
Are you based in New York?
Karachi-based, New York-serving. EST working hours run 18:00–02:00 PKT — I cover US morning through mid-afternoon comfortably, with async handoff for anything after 5pm EST. Around 30% of current active client work is US-based, roughly half of that in the NYC metro.
Why hire a remote senior instead of a NYC agency?
A Manhattan boutique agency will price a serious personal-brand or founder site at $25-$60k. A West Village freelance senior charges $200-$350 per hour and is booked six weeks out. A remote senior with the same 15-year skillset ships better technical outcomes for $8-15k flat with a real timeline. The trade-off is timezone overlap (I cover most of your working day, not all) and no in-person meetings — for most WordPress projects, neither is worth the 3-5x price premium.
Do you work with NYC-based startups?
Founder-led companies past the idea stage, yes. Pre-seed 'we don't have a domain yet' stage, no — that's a marketing agency job, not a senior engineer job. If you're a Series A+ founder needing a real company site, executive founder site, or a founder-led personal brand alongside the company site, this is a clean fit.
How do you handle US-specific compliance?
ADA / WCAG 2.2 AA is baked in on every US client site — I've seen enough demand-letter lawsuits to treat it as table stakes, not an upsell. CCPA + CPRA for California-facing traffic, wired properly with real opt-out flows. State-specific privacy laws (CO, VA, CT, UT, TX) monitored and updated. If you sell into the EU too, GDPR layered on top.
What NYC industries do you take?
Founder-led SaaS company sites, executive personal brands, keynote speakers on the NYC circuit, boutique law and consulting firms, wellness practices, book-launching authors, and creative-services agencies that want a serious digital presence. Not financial-services procurement processes and not government contracts.
How do we work together across timezones?
Async-first with a 30-minute weekly video call at 10am EST (7pm PKT — perfect for both sides). Loom videos for everything visual. Written decisions in a shared Notion. Emergency channel on WhatsApp. Most NYC clients who've worked with agencies tell me the async cadence is faster than agency PM cycles.
