WordPress
engineering,
based in Karachi.
Fifteen years of senior WordPress work from Karachi — for Pakistani SMEs, Gulf enterprises, and UK/US personal brands. Same engineer, same phone number, whichever continent you're calling from.
“The best reason to hire a Karachi senior isn't the rate. It's that PKT is the one timezone that overlaps every continent you probably do business with.”
What Karachi clients actually book
Site rescue after a bad vendor
Karachi has a lot of low-cost agencies. When one leaves a broken site behind, this is what I get called for. Fixed quote, full audit, either fix in place or clean rebuild.
Move off Wix / Shopify to WordPress
Family businesses and professional-services firms wanting long-term control and better SEO than platform-hosted allows. Migration without losing rankings.
WooCommerce for Karachi retailers
Local payments (JazzCash, Easypaisa), COD flows, courier integrations, PKR/USD dual pricing. All the things Shopify makes hard in Pakistan.
White-label senior partner for local agencies
Two Karachi agencies currently retain me as their escalation engineer. Their team runs day-to-day; I handle the technical work they can't.
Speaker + coach personal brands
Growing Karachi cohort of coaches, keynote speakers, and consultants who need a serious international-standard site to compete for Gulf and Western clients.
FAQ
Are you actually based in Karachi?
Yes. Karachi is home base. I've been building WordPress from here since 2010, serving clients across Pakistan, the Gulf, UK, US, and Australia. WhatsApp number is a Pakistani line so local businesses can call directly; the same number is on international rate cards for Gulf and UK clients.
Do you work with Karachi-based businesses or only international?
Both. Local Karachi clients get in-person availability for kickoff and handover. International clients get PKT-hours-fluent async work with UK-evening and US-morning overlap for calls. Roughly 60% of my current book is international, 40% is Pakistan-based — I like keeping both.
Why hire a Karachi WordPress developer instead of a UK or US one?
Two honest reasons. (1) Rate: same 15-year senior engineering at roughly 40% of Central London or Bay Area rates, no agency markup. (2) Cover: PKT overlaps with both Gulf mornings and UK afternoons, so a Karachi engineer can genuinely respond during working hours for four continents. Bad reason: 'cheap.' If cheap is the criterion, you'll get a cheap outcome. Hire on portfolio and references, not on postcode.
What's the local Karachi WordPress scene like?
Growing but scattered. Most of the good senior developers work remotely for foreign clients or the big Karachi agencies. There is no single WordCamp Karachi in most years (though the wider Pakistani WordPress community is active on WordPress.org). If you're a Karachi business hiring locally, you'll get much better outcomes from a solo senior than from a junior team at an agency selling 'WordPress packages.'
Can you meet in person in Karachi?
Yes. Kickoff, handover, and any client-requested working session can happen in person in DHA, Clifton, or the corporate corridor. Most day-to-day work is remote because that's just how software work is now.
What kinds of Karachi clients do you take?
Established SMEs, boutique agencies who need a senior technical partner, family businesses moving from Wix/Shopify to WordPress, and professional-services firms (law, medicine, consulting) who want a serious digital presence. Not brand-new startups without a domain or an idea. I do senior engineering, not first-website-ever hand-holding.
